About the Job

We seek a highly motivated Business Development Manager to expand our presence in established markets while developing strategies for growth in new regions. This pivotal role demands innovative thinking, urgency, resilience, and strategic acumen to establish a stable revenue pipeline.

Your approach must be value-driven and collaborative, with a structured yet adaptable sales style that fosters relationships across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders within Education. As a key advocate for inclusivity and innovation in education, you will drive partnerships that deliver lasting benefits to schools and students alike, reaffirming our commitment to accessible education for all.

Main Responsibilities
  • Explore and secure opportunities within the Education Sector in Norway.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable sales pipeline, rigorously managing it and accurately forecasting sales.
  • Collaborate with the local team to identify areas of growth within your vertical.
  • Take full responsibility for managing the sales process from initiation to closure.
  • Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders within Education.
  • Compose and present quotes and proposals effectively capturing new business.
  • Represent Lingit at industry events and exhibitions, engaging actively in networking.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to team meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Maintain an understanding of the competitive environment to strategically position Lingit's products.
  • Keep comprehensive and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Consistently meet and exceed both personal and company sales targets.
  • Proven ability to close complex, large-scale opportunities involving long sales cycles and build strategic relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Minimum of three years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the EdTech/education sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of driving incremental revenue through the acquisition of new customers and leveraging cross/up-selling opportunities.
  • Familiarity with operating within a SaaS business model.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, both in person and online.
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Willingness to combine online and travel throughout Norway for customer meetings and industry events, as well as regular visits to Lingit's offices for meetings.
  • Proficiency with MEDDICC or similar sales frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the current state of the education market and awareness of the latest trends in EdTech and/or Education Policy.
  • A strong passion for education and a commitment to making a significant difference.
  • Experience and understanding of inclusion and accessibility challenges in Education.
  • Proven experience using social media platforms, such as LinkedIn and Twitter/X, to enhance personal and company branding in a B2B or educational setting.
  • Experience with a range of Lingit tools.
