Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team at SBM Offshore. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Commissioning team and ensuring the successful execution of Commissioning activities on our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commissioning team and ensure the successful execution of Commissioning activities on our projects.
  • Develop and implement Commissioning plans and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Commissioning team, including the selection and recruitment of Commissioning personnel.
  • Ensure that Commissioning personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and report on Commissioning progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction, to ensure seamless integration of Commissioning activities with other project phases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure that all Commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering or Materials Science in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation disciplines.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Commissioning in the Oil and Gas Industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO projects.
  • Significant experience as a Project Commissioning Manager, with a proven track record of delivering successful Commissioning projects.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to take ownership and make timely decisions, even in difficult situations and changing contexts.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with other languages a plus.
