The Department of Biostatistics at the University of Oslo seeks a talented biostatistician to contribute to our research and teaching activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and a passion for applying statistical methods to real-world problems in biology, medicine, and public health.
As a professor, you will be expected to develop and lead research projects, supervise students, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines. You will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biostatistics.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field.
- Strong research experience in biostatistics, with a focus on applied, computational, and methodological statistics.
- Experience with collaborative research and teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
