
Biostatistics Expertise Required University of Oslo

The University of Oslo's Department of Biostatistics seeks a highly skilled biostatistician to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in statistics, including applied, computational, and methodological statistics, as well as a strong interest in biology, medicine, epidemiology, and/or public health.
The professor candidate is expected to be an innovative and independent researcher and leader in her or his field. She/he should have an exceptional research record, as judged by the strength of peer-reviewed publications. Active collaborations, interdisciplinary and internationally, are highly valued.
Key qualifications include:
- Expertise in statistics, including applied, computational, and methodological statistics.
- Strong interest in biology, medicine, epidemiology, and/or public health.
- Exceptional research record, as judged by the strength of peer-reviewed publications.
- Innovative and independent researcher and leader.
The associate professor candidate will have started to achieve results in these directions and show exceptional promise to become a leading academic. The closing date for applications is not specified.
We offer very competitive salaries depending on qualifications. We also provide annual paid leave for 5 weeks, plus public holidays, attractive welfare benefits, and membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. Public health services are available through membership of the National Insurance Scheme.
