Key Responsibilities:- Stress Analysis and Design: Conduct comprehensive stress analysis on critical piping systems on offshore oil and gas platforms, including compressor and pump lines, flare systems, and flow-lines, using Caesar II software.
- Piping System Optimization: Identify and select stress-critical lines from process P&IDs based on NORSOK guidelines, and collaborate with other disciplines to implement an optimal design.
- Component Qualification: Perform calculations and qualify various piping components, including flanges, fittings, and nozzles, as per relevant standards such as ASME, API, and NEMA-SM23.
- Dynamic Calculations: Conduct dynamic calculations involving slugging, surge, and fatigue, and implement mitigating solutions to prevent potential vibrations in all systems.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with other disciplines, including piping layout, pipe supports, structural, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in piping stress engineering, with a strong background in oil and gas industry standards.
- Skills: Good knowledge of several required standards, including API, ASME, NEMA-SM23, and Norwegian standards (NORSOK, DNV). Strong multi-discipline understanding and excellent communication skills.
