About the Role

Techconsult AS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecom Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Telecom Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality telecom solutions to our clients in the oil, gas, and land-based industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough study work and estimation to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
  2. Develop and revise telecom documentation and drawings, including telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans.
  3. Produce work packages for installation and ensure discipline checks and approvals of produced documents and drawings.
  4. Source and procure telecom materials and equipment for offshore installations.
  5. Collaborate with clients and vendors to identify optimal technical solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Master's or Bachelor's degree in telecommunications or a related field.
  2. 4-7 years of experience in offshore-related projects and studies.
  3. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, including NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and Norsok.
  4. Experience with telecom systems, including cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, and PA systems.
  5. Knowledge of ICT security and network topology.
  6. Experience with instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry.
  7. Valid Norwegian offshore and health certificates.
  8. Knowledge of Equinor systems for performing engineering work.

Location and Work Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be located within the EU, preferably in Norway. A valid work permit for Norway is required if you are not located in Norway.
