Job Description

About the Project

This PhD project aims to identify potential target genes for precision breeding of reproductive characteristics in Atlantic salmon. You will conduct research to study the molecular basis of life-history variation in this species.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in a relevant field of study, such as molecular biology or genetics.
  • Grade average of B or better, demonstrating academic excellence.
  • Proficiency in English, as you will be working with international collaborators.
  • Preferred skills include experience in molecular genetics wet-lab work, programming skills in R, and familiarity with bioinformatics.
  • Advantageous: Prior experience in functional genomics, particularly in studying reproductive traits.
