The PositionWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in establishing robust financial controls and managing our financial operations across multiple entities. This position requires an individual with strong leadership abilities, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain effective financial controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies.
- Support the finance team in refining financial processes and establishing best practices.
- Oversee book-keeping activities conducted by outsourced accounting teams located in APAC and EMEA.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly accounting close processes by coordinating effectively with external teams.
- Manage book-keeping for in-house entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring all required documentation and information are provided in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and annual income tax filings.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance on complex financial matters and encourage continuous professional growth within the team.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Support the group consolidation process, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all entities.
- Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or any other equivalent qualification).
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating with outsourced accounting teams and managing in-house financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, income tax regulations, and audit processes.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using the NetSuite ERP system is highly preferred.
- Experience with an audit practice as an external auditor is also preferred.
