Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our IT Infrastructure department. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and data handling capabilities. Your expertise will help us deliver innovative solutions that enable business capabilities and services globally across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans, roadmaps, frameworks, and technical principles for database and data handling capabilities
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and data integrity requirements, aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategies, standards, and procedures
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance
  • Contribute to high-level architecture and design, data modeling, big data strategy, and adoption
  • Deliver concepts and architecture to IT projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant fields, with ten or more years of experience in database and data handling technologies
  • Proficiency in database systems (SQL, NoSQL, NewSQL), cloud-native databases (especially in Azure), and experience with Oracle and SQL Server, both in Azure and on-premises
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL tools, data architecture principles, and data processing techniques
  • Competence in data governance, data quality, security, compliance, and metadata management
  • Ability to analyze system requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and communicate complex database concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of data integration and transformation tools, business intelligence platforms, and AI applications in database management
  • Experience with storage, backup solutions, and network knowledge
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English
