Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Service Engineer to join our team at TechnipFMC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing subsea discipline engineering tasks to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform subsea discipline engineering tasks based on instructions received from the Discipline Lead.
  • Ensure safe execution of assigned work scope and provide on-time quality deliverables.
  • Undertake discipline engineering tasks as required by projects and tenders.
  • Comply with corporate standards, client requirements, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.
  • Maintain a schedule for assigned work scope and associated deliverables.
  • Originate/review engineering deliverables as required by the Project review process.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Graduate Engineers.
  • Interface with Engineering and Drafting teams on project requirements.
  • Participate in formal and informal reporting to the assigned Senior/Principal Engineer and Discipline Lead on progress of engineering tasks and key issues.
  • Provide field engineering support to assist fabrication, testing, and construction activities.
  • Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers, and/or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to discipline engineering.
  • Assist Discipline Engineering Manager in development of Discipline Engineering Guidelines and Processes.
  • Proactively participate in HSE initiatives and standards, including JSAs and Risk Assessment.
  • Initiate and lead after-action reviews related to offshore installation and commissioning to gather lessons learned and implement actions as required.
  • Provide onshore technical support for ongoing operations, troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive actions when capable.
  • Investigate and dispose of service or quality notifications, including root cause analysis and ensuring preventive actions are implemented where required.
  • Act as a quality improvement project participant.
  • Assigned to execute smaller work packages and scopes related to Subsea Services and work independently with supervision and mentorship.
  • Assist the Principal or Senior Engineer or be responsible for planning and execution of subsea services project.
  • Review technical documents needed for operations, e.g., rig books, installation, commissioning, preservation, maintenance, etc., as well as Life of Field support.
  • Active involvement in field activities.
  • Actively participate in FAT/SIT and collaborate with the product team during the design stage, pre-operational planning, onshore and offshore technical support, maintenance operations, troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive actions.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree relevant to the discipline.
  • Computer literate.
  • 2-3 years or relevant industry experience. Prior offshore experience is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of at least one TechnipFMC or related subsea product line or good knowledge of multiple technologies, products, and applications.
  • Good understanding of engineering practices, design methods, and calculations.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, systematically utilizing prevention skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design or process changes to ensure simple, functional, and cost-effective results.
  • Offshore experience (desired).
  • Prior experience with Subsea Production System equipment is desired.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience.
