Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Specialist to join our team at TN Norway. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing customer technical relations after the point of sale for all Intuitive Surgical products in an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Senior da Vinci Surgical Technical Expert: Provide on-site technical support and training to junior field service engineers, ensuring maximum system reliability and uptime guarantees.
  • Pre-Site Planning and Installation Coordination: Analyze customer requirements to ensure effective system installation, providing coordination with customers to ensure timely completion.
  • Autonomous Management: Independently manage and schedule planned and unplanned appointments with customers to ensure maximum system reliability, functionality, and uptime guarantees.
  • Discretion and Judgment: Use discretion and independent judgment when assessing the functionality and repairing Intuitive Surgical products.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • College Degree: Bachelor's degree in applied science or engineering, or equivalent training/experience.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, including experience in the medical device industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong administrative and record-keeping skills, with ability to manage spare parts inventory and returned material authorizations.
