Are you a strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of guiding senior and line management on legal matters?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at INPEX Idemitsu Norge in Oslo. As the lead legal professional, you will play a key role in driving corporate governance, safeguarding the company's interests, and working closely with the Tokyo Legal team and senior management to support and enhance the company's operations.

  • You will be responsible for managing all legal activities, ensuring compliance with international and national laws, internal policies, and the highest ethical standards.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the management and other internal stakeholders on various legal matters and disputes.
  • Review and negotiate complex contracts, ensuring that they align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and implement compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in the company's business.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and self-sufficient individual who excels at building trust and alignment within teams and across departments. You should have a strong ability to navigate diverse personalities and multicultural environments, ensuring effective collaboration and decision-making.

We believe that the right candidate has a Master of Law degree in Norway, is qualified for the Norwegian Bar, and has experience in complex contract negotiations and comprehensive understanding of international contract law.
