Our mission is simple: we want to deliver thoughtful lifts along the way, making everyday moments brighter. We're part of a diverse community across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, helping us grow into one of the world's leading convenience and fuel retail businesses.

Analytics Manager

We're seeking an exceptional leader to join our Global Data & Analytics Team as an Analytics Manager. In this role, you'll be an everyday partner with our central and local Category and Operations teams, supporting a wide range of functions like Merchandise, Food Service, EV, and Car Wash. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an experienced team of retail analysts and data scientists within a large organization.

The Analytics Manager will be responsible for delivering advanced analytics and insights that drive business results and operational excellence with the support of a small but mighty team of analysts. The ideal candidate should possess both technical capabilities to drive independent analysis as well as leadership skills to effectively lead and develop the team.

We're looking for a proven problem solver with exceptional critical thinking ability. The candidate should have a high sense of curiosity and be comfortable with ambiguity when faced with a difficult challenge. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and project management skills, the ability to collaborate with others, and simply and effectively communicate complex concepts with a non-technical audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and develop a team of analysts supporting various business functions.
  2. Drive and coordinate analytics projects – from standardized reporting to advanced analyses (e.g. forecasting, clustering, causal impact analysis etc.).
  3. Evaluate performance of categories and activities, using proven and advanced analytical methods.
  4. Support stakeholders with actionable insights based on transactional, financial, or customer data on an ongoing basis.
  5. Oversee the design and measurement of experiments and pilots.
  6. Be an advocate for a data-driven culture among the stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. A higher degree in an analytical discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.
  2. 3+ years of experience delivering actionable insights based on data.
  3. Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
  4. Strong analytical skills with proven practical experience.
  5. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  6. Experience with BI, data preparation, and analysis tools (we use Power BI, SQL, Pyspark, Databricks).
  7. Experience with the retail industry is a plus.
  8. Experience within a statistical analysis language (e.g. R, Python).
  9. You think analytically, creatively, and pragmatically.
  10. You're able to collaborate with stakeholders at different levels and across geographies.
  11. You're comfortable taking initiative and driving it through to completion.
  12. You're able to effectively provide guidance and support to the team members to ensure quality of deliverables as well as team's growth and development.
  13. You're a problem solver and like to create, but you also appreciate that sharing your work makes us all better.
  14. You're curious and like to learn, both within business and technology.
  15. You can interpret and translate complex information into understandable, compelling, and actionable insights.
  16. You have a strong commercial mindset and are always looking for opportunities to strengthen our business.
