Job Summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced OSS System Engineer to join our team in Norway. As a key member of our Operations Support Systems team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network by maintaining and optimizing OSS applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal product teams and external vendors to evaluate and implement new OSS applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures for each OSS application and service.
  • Investigate and resolve complex OSS implementation and network problems, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to protect network systems and data integrity.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles regarding design, testing, and maintenance of IT applications and services.
  • Knowledge of basic administration of Microsoft Windows and Linux virtual machines.
  • Knowledge of network management protocols, such as SNMP, and IP tools for troubleshooting, such as Wireshark or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and basic tools development.
  • Familiarity with IP protocols.
  • Familiarity with VMware virtual environments.
  • ITIL certification and/or experience is an advantage.

  • Ability to speak, write, and communicate clearly in English and Norwegian.
