About the Project

Our ERC Consolidator Grant project, 'FatVersusBile', aims to elucidate how the gut drives liver health in humans and mice, particularly in inflammatory bowel disease settings. You will contribute to this project by conducting innovative in vivo gnotobiotic models, in vitro experiments, and validation in human materials.

This position offers a unique opportunity to explore the microbial contribution to and interaction between chronic inflammatory and steatotic hepatobiliary diseases. The findings will inform potential mechanisms and their clinical relevance, contributing to the development of novel treatment modalities and diagnostic tools.

As part of our team, you will benefit from a stimulating research environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert guidance. We encourage applications from motivated and ambitious individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in the field.
