Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our team at IKM Consultants AS. As a Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecom systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and estimations to determine telecom system requirements
  • Develop and revise documentation and drawings for telecom systems
  • Produce work packages for telecom system installation
  • Review and approve telecom system documents and drawings
  • Source telecom materials and equipment for offshore installations
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors to identify optimal telecom system solutions
Requirements
  • Masters or bachelor degree in telecommunications
  • 5-7 years of experience in offshore-related projects and studies
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and Norsok
  • Understanding of telecom systems, including cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, and PA systems
  • Knowledge of ICT security and network topology
  • Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry
  • Valid Norwegian offshore- and health certificates
  • Knowledge of Equinor systems for performing engineering work
  • Basic EX course hours in the classroom or online
  • FSE high and low voltage with first aid
