Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal audit strategies: The Senior Internal Auditor will develop and implement internal audit strategies that align with the organization's risk management and governance processes.
  • Evaluate governance processes: Through assignments and continuous monitoring activities, the auditor will evaluate the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, laws, and regulations that could significantly impact the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate risk management and internal control processes: The auditor will monitor and evaluate governance processes and the effectiveness of the organization's risk management and internal control processes.
  • Support annual risk assessment process and planning: The auditor will support the annual risk assessment process and planning process of Internal Audit.
  • Evaluate operations and programs: The auditor will evaluate operations and programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and if these are being carried out as planned.
  • Ensure audit activities follow applicable standards: The auditor will ensure that audit activities follow applicable standards and are documented in line with defined methodologies in the organization's internal audit tool.
  • Contribute to recommendation follow-up process: The auditor will contribute to Internal Audit's recommendation follow-up process and liaise with management on progress in implementing improvement and development items.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts: The auditor will support continuous improvement efforts within the internal audit team and ad-hoc projects established to improve the capacities of the team.

Requirements:

  • Experience from internal audit, risk management, and/or internal control processes: The ideal candidate will have experience from internal audit, risk management, and/or internal control processes in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of Euronext markets/financial industry: Knowledge of Euronext markets/financial industry, operations, and/or IT is an advantage.
  • Strong presentation skills: The candidate should have strong presentation skills and ability to discuss risk in a practical and relatable manner.
  • Excellent analytical skills: Excellent analytical skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong communication skills: Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing are required.
  • Collaborative working approach: A collaborative, open, pragmatic, customer-oriented, and analytical working approach is necessary for success in this role.
  • Accountability and integrity: Accountable, proactive, and high-level integrity are essential qualities for this position.
  • Experience from managing senior stakeholders: Experience from managing senior stakeholders in a multi-cultural business environment is desirable.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Fluency in a Scandinavian language (spoken and written) is preferred but not required.
