We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team in women's health and epidemiology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a three-year project investigating the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and persistent pelvic pain.
The research team is based at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine (IKOM) at NTNU, and we offer a dynamic and supportive environment for researchers. As a PhD candidate, you will be part of a larger research group focusing on women's health and pelvic pain, and you will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers from other departments and institutions.
The primary objective of this project is to increase knowledge about the causes of persistent pelvic pain, which affects many women worldwide. To achieve this goal, we will use data from the HUNT4 study, one of the largest population-based studies in Norway. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing analysis plans, performing statistical analyses, and preparing manuscripts for academic publications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in medicine or medical and health sciences, with experience in quantitative statistical analysis and epidemiology. Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, or R is also required. Excellent written and oral English skills are essential for success in this role.
