Unlocking Cancer Treatment with Radioligand Therapies

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Research Scientist to join our Translational Biology team at Work In Biotech. As a key member of our innovative team, you will contribute to the development of targeted radiotherapies designed to revolutionize cancer treatment.

About Us

Work In Biotech is a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company redefining cancer care by creating a new class of alpha radioligand therapies (ARTs). Our unique approach selects the optimal alpha-precursor isotope and tumor-specific targets to create therapeutics with high efficacy and safety. We are advancing multiple pipeline programs with lead program AB001 currently in first-in-human trials.

The Role

In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in drug discovery and development, focusing on in-vitro radiobiology studies to enable the development of novel radioligand candidates from early Discovery to IND-readiness. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, planning, and executing in-vitro radiobiology studies to advance our innovative pipeline of targeted radiotherapies.
  • Designing and executing radiolabelling and analytical characterisation of radioligands, working closely with the in-vitro radiochemistry team.
  • Collaborating with project teams and leadership to drive project goals and experimental design for drug development.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Radioligand Therapy Development, Radiation Biology, or a relevant discipline with significant laboratory-based skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in research projects, particularly in drug discovery and in vitro testing of novel radioligands.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and regulations, including working with open sources and radionuclides.
  • Excellent analytical skills for processing and interpreting complex experimental data.
  • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and contribute to collaborative research efforts.
  • Experience managing research projects, timelines, and resources.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. If you are passionate about oncology research and eager to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer, we encourage you to apply.
