Develop and cultivate interaction with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) Drive strategic cross-divisional/group projects and initiatives, Aim to Develop and implement innovative products Lead and mentor a team of scientists, aligning their work with department plans and business priorities Drive the development and implementation of effective working processes, continuously focusing on removing execution barriers and exploration of new technologies Prioritize and plan projects, including project timelines, technology requirements, potential risks, and financial considerations. Travel is expected, sometimes at short notice. Expect approx 20% travel over a year.

Qualifications

PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry (or a related field). At least 3 years of working experience performing product development and/or laboratory research in an industrial setting or equivalent (Biotech/Life Science industry). Strong background in molecular applications and diagnostic testing At least to 2 years of experience in team management or performance evaluation role with a focus on people management, goal setting, and building successful teams Hand-on experience in nucleic acid purification and applications ( extraction, purification, amplifications, qPCR, NGS) Experience with statistical analysis and/or Design of Experiments methodologies. Able to understand the problems that our customers are trying to solve, understand the customer’s current and future metrology requirements, and recommend new metrology opportunities to Thermo Fisher Scientific
