Data Center Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Set up and configure hardware deployments, including grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling, according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
- Communicate and report incidents to appropriate Microsoft data center operations management units, Technician Leads, and engineering specialists.
- Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
- Complete required training and observe more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and relevant on-the-job training.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- Proven experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to work shifts, including evening, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Proven experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
