Job Summary

Techconsult AS is seeking a highly skilled Construction Piping and Mechanical Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Construction Site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of mechanical and piping installations, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Oversight: Supervise mechanical and piping work to ensure compliance with project requirements, including HSE and quality standards, specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  2. Installation and Testing: Ensure that all mechanical and piping installations, testing, and commissioning are carried out in accordance with project requirements, including Company/Project HSEQ standards.
  3. Documentation and Handover: Ensure completion of MC dossier for handover is issued by contractor in accordance with requirements for commissioning.
  4. Scope Planning and Execution: Plan, qualify, perform, and document construction activities within the discipline in accordance with contract specifications.
  5. Technical Review: Review Client's technical documentation and requirements to ensure an adequate standard.
  6. Design Basis and Interface: Monitor the design basis for the discipline, ensure good interface with other disciplines and contractor construction team.
  7. Team Collaboration: Contribute to the Construction Site team as a driving force within your discipline.
  8. Technical Support: Assist the Mechanical lead in solving technical problems arising during project development and interfacing/supporting other departments.
  9. QA/QC and Site Inspections: Follow up QA/QC routines and procedures for the Construction/Completion phase and conduct site inspections, reporting non-compliance and commenting on activities.
  10. Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Follow up site progress and MC documentation during the installation period, sign out MC certificates, and monitor and report MC status in PIMS CMS.
  11. Project Modification and Schedule Management: Follow up plan and activities/milestones for project modification in accordance with the integrated schedule in Safran 6 weeks' construction plan and Power BI.
  12. Material Management and Preservation: Monitor receipt and storage of materials to ensure traceability and ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved through fabrication, installation, and hook-up.
  13. HSE and Risk Management: Participate in HAZID and HAZOP and other HSEQ related reviews when required, contribute to the Management of Change process, and identify and follow up relevant opportunities, risks, and mitigating actions.
  14. Company Values and HSE Compliance: Act in accordance with company core values and HSE program, act as Company – Safety and HSEQ compliance champion at project, and perform assurances according to project objectives.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor degree or Cand. Mag ECTS) in Engineering.
  2. Experience: 10-15 years work experience.
  3. Qualifications: Civil Engineer, Mechanical or Piping Engineer, High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Relevant Experience: Relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
  5. Knowledge and Competence: Knowledge and competence within the area of Completion.
  6. Project Lifecycle Understanding: Understanding of the project lifecycle.
  7. Database and Computer Skills: Good Knowledge in PIMS CMS Completion Databases and good computer skills.
  8. Communication Skills: Good communicative skills.
  9. Language: Language: English and Norwegian.
