Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Nord Pool's legal strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide expert legal advice to internal stakeholders, including senior management, on complex commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
- Represent Nord Pool in European and regional market coupling projects, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including market coupling agreements, cooperation agreements, and service agreements.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, ensuring Nord Pool remains compliant and competitive in the market.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in law from a Norwegian university.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel with international exposure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business and legal objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- English fluency and flexibility to travel within Europe.
