Funcom Oslo AS, a renowned Norwegian video game developer, is looking for a skilled Technical QA tester to join its team. As a key member of the Tech department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our online games.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with the Tools and infrastructure teams to develop and test advanced tools for making and running an MMO at scale. Your primary focus will be on verifying that new features and changes work as intended and assisting the teams with debugging and profiling tasks.

You will be expected to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, cooperate in multi-disciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with the tech and dev teams on issues that need to be resolved.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Test new content and modifications before they are pushed to the development team
  2. Work closely with the Tools and infrastructure teams to develop and test advanced tools
  3. Verify that new features and changes work as intended
  4. Assist the teams with debugging and profiling tasks
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in QA/game development
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5 editor
  • Knowledge and experience with Python and C type languages (C, C++, C#)
  • Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, software testing standards, and the software development cycle
