Funcom Oslo AS, a leading video game developer, is seeking a skilled Technical QA tester to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing new content and modifications before they are pushed to the development team.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Tools and infrastructure teams to test and support advanced tools for making and running an MMO at scale. Your mission will be to verify that new features and changes work as intended and assist the teams with debugging and profiling tasks.

You will be expected to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, cooperate in multi-disciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with the tech and dev teams on issues that need to be resolved.

Responsibilities
  1. Test new content and modifications before they are pushed to the development team
  2. Work closely with the Tools and infrastructure teams to test and support advanced tools
  3. Verify that new features and changes work as intended
  4. Assist the teams with debugging and profiling tasks
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in QA/game development
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5 editor
  • Knowledge and experience with Python and C type languages (C, C++, C#)
  • Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, software testing standards, and the software development cycle
