Fugro Norway AS - Satellite Positioning is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to contribute to our team's success.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in software development/testing and quality assurance, with experience in agile processes and business systems. They will work closely with the QA lead, development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in improving agile processes and business systems used for software development projects.
- Define and execute tests, document and analyze results, and report on test status to contribute to the overall quality assurance process.
- Contribute to all phases of the project life cycle: requirements review, test planning/execution, and reporting and assessment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks through escalation/delegation of issues to appropriate members of the project team.
- Assist project managers with project resource and roadmap planning and reporting.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Experience with System Development Life Cycle concepts, including Agile/Scrum.
- Software testing experience required.
- Engineering mindset with understanding of scientific/research-based development.
- Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with Jira and Global Navigation Satellite Systems is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies and tools.
