Job Title: Marine Survey Engineer
We're seeking a highly skilled Marine Survey Engineer to join our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and following up on survey contracts and contractors, developing scopes of work related to seabed mapping and ultra-ultra high resolution seismic, and providing technical support to our oil and gas and renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and follow-up of survey contracts and contractors.
- Develop scope of works related to seabed mapping (MBES, SSS, SBP, and magnetometer data) or UUHRS (Ultra-Ultra High Resolution Seismic).
- Survey design, planning, data acquisition, and follow-up of contractors.
- Prepare and coordinate other types of survey operations, such as environmental surveys or metocean measurements, on behalf of the respective technical teams for the project.
- Provide technical support related to the discipline of competence to O&G and Renewable projects during the engineering phase.
- Support the permitting and consenting team with technical input for permit applications.
- Conduct field work, such as supervision of mobilization/demobilization of vessels and occasional offshore work in the quality of vessel representative.
Requirements:
- MSc within one of the relevant disciplines (applied geophysics, survey & hydrography, physics/oceanography, etc.).
- Professional level of proficiency in English. Willingness to learn Norwegian is beneficial.
- Demonstrable commitment to safety, quality, cost, and operational performance.
- 7+ years (Principal level) or min. 3 to 5 years (Senior level) of relevant experience within one or more of the following: shallow marine geophysical survey, UUHRS seismic acquisition and sampling techniques, MBES/SSS/SBP and magnetometer data acquisition methods & techniques, marine surveys for cable and routes, infield and nearshore site investigation.
