Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for improving customer experience of Tesla products by reducing field issues in collaboration with other engineering teams. Our mission is to drive quality, reliability, and durability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor product field performance, identify trending issues, and prioritize based on severity, occurrence, and cost of each failure mode.
  • Engage with service centers and regional support structures to evaluate customer impact regionally.
  • Apply technical engineering knowledge to drive containment and corrective action implementation into production, design, supplier, and firmware.
  • Communicate field performance of the engineering system and gather buy-in from engineering peers and leadership on improvement priorities and urgency.
  • Share Lessons Learned from previous field issues and provide upfront feedback during design reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any engineering discipline.
  • Prior applicable hands-on experience desired in a practical role such as Failure Analysis, Quality, or Service.
  • Broad technical background with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and Failure Analysis skills, with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.
