Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities for hydro projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, coordinating procurement activities, and managing contracts to ensure efficient execution of all procurements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and market opportunities.
  • Coordinate all procurement activities within the project, including minor procurements.
  • Prepare procurement strategies and plans for the project based on relevant category strategies and input from category and sourcing managers.
  • Perform tender processes, manage contracts, and secure efficient execution of all procurements.
  • Maintain status of key aspects of all major contracts, including securities, supply chain, cost, and progress/time status.
  • Follow-up risk and mitigation actions within the contract execution phase.
  • Act as commercial counterpart and advisor to the project manager.
  • Initiate and arrange contract/commercial training for the project team.
  • Monitor and follow up sustainability requirements to contractors and their supply chain, including activities to create awareness.
  • Document procurement process, contract management items, and learning in Jaggaer and the project collaboration tool.
  • Assist the project team in take over activities with contractor, dispute handling, and final settlement.
  • Perform supplier assessment (SPM) of each contract in Jaggaer.
  • Prepare contract close out report.
  • Support O&M team in claims management of main contracts.
  • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure a sustainable supply chain management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree from a leading/premier institute (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Contract/Procurement Management of handling Hydro Project contracts.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC Contracts.
  • Demonstratable advanced negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with supply chain management software – SAP (Experience in Jaggaer is an extra advantage).
  • Enthusiastic and detail-oriented.
  • Have a strong commercial mindset.
  • Able to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant experience within Hydro Power.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an international, complex, and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of high customer satisfaction.
