We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecom Engineer to join our team at Techconsult AS. As a Senior Telecom Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing telecom projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage telecom projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and implement telecom strategies to meet business objectives, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecom systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform technical studies and estimations to determine project feasibility and resource requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans, to support project delivery.
- Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Order telecom materials and equipment as needed to support project delivery.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation, electrical, and automation systems.
- Understand and interpret drawings from different disciplines to ensure accurate project execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to find optimal technical solutions.
- Masters or bachelor's degree in telecommunications or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in offshore-related projects and studies.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, including NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and Norsok.
- Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems, including cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
- Knowledge of PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of ICT security and network topology.
- Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry.
- Valid Norwegian offshore- and health certificates.
- Knowledge of systems for performing engineering work, including STIDtag, STIDdoc, and STIDloop.
- Knowledge of client systems, including Proark and PIMS.
- Knowledge of Equinor TRs related to Telecom.
- EX course certification.
- FSE high and low voltage certification with first aid.
