We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Engineer - Tender Management to enhance our operations. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with some of the largest offshore wind farm tenders and projects on the horizon.

The Senior Project Engineer - Tender Management will oversee the comprehensive coordination required to formulate proposals from the pre-qualification stage through to the negotiation phase prior to contract award.

Functionally, this position will report to the Engineering Manager while collaborating closely with the Sales & Tendering Manager and the tendering team.

Key Responsibilities

Initially, the role will focus on leading the engineering tender team, supporting our Sales & Marketing division for Cables and Foundations, with the potential to transition into a leading engineering role during project execution. Collaborate with the Tender Manager to determine the execution strategy and necessary actions to meet the objectives of the commercial proposal. Define deliverables from all departments involved in the tender process and ensure effective interfaces among Tendering, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Fiscal, Legal, and Commercial teams. Develop technical method statements. Prepare or contribute to timelines and cost estimations. Suggest cost optimizations by adjusting the execution strategy and commercial approach. Ensure compliance with Subsea 7's tendering protocols. Engage with the Tender Manager and all relevant departments and partners during the negotiation phase. Maintain comprehensive records throughout the bidding process to ensure traceability and facilitate a smooth transition to project teams. Focus on cost efficiency - identifying opportunities within each tender to maximize profitability for the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

A BEng/BSc or Meng/MSc in Civil, Mechanical, Marine Construction, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Extensive technical experience in Engineering or Operational Departments, along with familiarity with commercial requirements (Contracts, Supply Chain Management, Tendering). A background in managing engineering packages within offshore wind or analogous sectors such as offshore oil and gas. Proficient communication skills in English (both verbal and written). Ability to meet tight deadlines. A strong interest in the multidisciplinary aspects (technology, execution, legal & contract, finance, commercial) of our projects. A meticulous and committed approach to ensuring adherence to tendering protocols. Strong communication and negotiation capabilities. Competence in prioritizing workloads effectively, managing time and change control. Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and collaborate with other departments as needed. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to mentor junior engineers.
