Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer cables according to applicable NEK standards and RENblader
  • Collaborate with electrical PRE and electrical system engineer on developing cable sizing philosophy, cable routing, and cable design & calculation
  • Ensure all electrical parts of the scope relevant for modeling are included in E3D
  • Provide layout drawings relevant for placement of electrical equipment
  • Provide inputs to Civil on location and arrangement in the technical building
  • Collaborate with PRE on developing supplier vital interface information list (VIIL)
  • Ensure good understanding of all interfaces and battery limits towards other contractors and reach common understanding with other involved parties
  • Contribute to a safe, positive work environment
  • Ensure good understanding of the scope of work for electrical equipment
  • Good cooperation with Electrical PRE and Electrical system engineer
  • Good cooperation with other disciplines to exchange all necessary inputs and data to the electrical equipment
  • Coordinate with client, other partners/sub-contractor on providing all data needed with respect to location and layouts
  • Responsible for electrical area design with cable engineering as main activity
  • Report to Electrical Lead all matters of importance, including progress and any change in the scope of work or any deviation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Extensive practical experience
  • Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NEK (and IEC), RENblader, NORSOK
  • Experience and knowledge on FEBDOK and REN-grøft is an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
  • High level English and Norwegian is a requirement, both written and spoken
