Head of Quantitative Analysis

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced quantitative risk analyst to lead our risk modelling team in Oslo. As Head of Quantitative Analysis, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our risk models, enhancing our risk methodologies, and leading a team of eight quantitative risk analysts across our Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, and Oslo offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of quantitative risk analysts to ensure the success of our growth strategy.
  • Enhance our risk models for liquid time horizons across European power markets and related commodities.
  • Develop risk models for semi-liquid and illiquid time horizons for renewable assets and renewable off-take agreements.
  • Maintain and enhance our forward curve tools and methodology.
  • Align development of new tools with main stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • An outstanding university degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or natural sciences with a quantitative specialization.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial risk management, ideally in energy markets.
  • Strong commercial mindset and some Front Office experience desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge in the field of quantitative finance and risk.
