We are seeking a skilled Research Scientist to join our laboratory team in Oslo Cancer Cluster Incubator. In this role, you will execute PCI Biotech's internal research activities in our newly established suspension cell laboratory for viral vector production.

You will have the opportunity to work on hands-on experiments, analyse results, and contribute to our daily lab operations. Prior experience in biomanufacturing and/or photochemical methods will significantly enhance your contribution to our research team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in vitro laboratory work and experiments to explore and develop our photochemical technologies, including cell culturing, transfection, viral vector production, and relevant assays like ELISA and qPCR.
  • Analyse and report experiment outcomes, providing valuable insights to guide our research team.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the research team to discuss results and agree on future experimental strategies.
  • Take initiative and contribute to daily lab operations, such as ordering equipment and consumables, maintenance, etc.
Requirements and Skills
  • Masters' degree in molecular biology, cell biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or equivalent field.
  • Bachelors' degree accepted if accompanied by relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in bioprocessing (viral vector production), with expertise in cell culture work and basic molecular biology assays like ELISA and qPCR.
  • Photocatalytic method experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with autonomy, efficiency, responsibility, organisation, and rigour.
