Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Snr. Accountant to strengthen our accounting and financial reporting function in Northern Europe. In this role, you will participate in day-to-day accounting, reporting, and analysis operations of the German & Norwegian legal entities, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in financial process tasks including accounting, controlling, analysis, internal controls, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide financial insights and decision-making support to internal stakeholders in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Actively participate in improvement initiatives in accounting and reporting processes, ensuring correct and efficient use of available tools.
  • Prepare, verify, record, and analyze financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit tax declarations and statistical information to authorities, ensuring proper filing of all relevant documents from an accounting perspective.
  • Handle various administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as necessary to support the smooth operations of the department.


Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Snr. Accountant with a degree in accounting, finance, or audit, and at least 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or similar roles. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of IFRS, German GAAP, or Norwegian GAAP, and advanced Excel skills. Experience from multinational corporations and/or complex financial processes is a plus. The candidate should be proficient in working with finance/accounting ERP applications, preferably Microsoft D365, and have knowledge of internal control frameworks and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards.
