About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at the Department of Chemistry. As a PhD Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of chemical biology.

Your main responsibility will be to work on a project focused on understanding the catalytic properties of protein aggregates and their role in neurodegenerative diseases.

The project involves developing expression systems for protein production, investigating the catalytic properties of amyloids, and designing synthetic peptide variants. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers in the department and contribute to the development of new methods and techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters degree or equivalent in molecular biology or a corresponding area with experience in protein expression and purification
  • Foreign completed degree corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
  • Experience in protein expression and purification techniques
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Benefits
