As a Tactical Operations Specialist at TN Norway, you will play a critical role in supporting the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. The JWC is a key component of the NATO Alliance, responsible for improving operational capabilities through training and exercises.

The JWC's primary objective is to prepare NATO forces for future challenges by conducting large-scale, joint operational-level training events, simulations, and exercises. As a member of our team, you will contribute to this effort by developing realistic opposing force concepts and coordinating with other functional areas to ensure maximum training value.

The exercise control structure is a vital component of the JWC's operations, and as a Tactical Operations Specialist, you will work closely with EXCON staff to establish the conditions needed to achieve the exercise aim and objectives. You will also be responsible for scripting OPFOR LAND content, including incidents and injects, to ensure that they are aligned with the overall OPFOR Joint Plan and Scheme of Maneuver.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in military operations, specifically in the LAND domain. You should have previous experience working in operational planning processes and be competent in Microsoft Office applications. A valid national or NATO Secret personal security clearance is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop realistic opposing force concepts and coordinate with other functional areas to ensure maximum training value.
  • Script OPFOR LAND content, including incidents and injects, to ensure alignment with the overall OPFOR Joint Plan and Scheme of Maneuver.
  • Work closely with EXCON staff to establish the conditions needed to achieve the exercise aim and objectives.
  • Contribute to the OPFOR Operational Design and Target List from a LAND domain perspective.
  • Coordinate CAX and Joint Theatre Level Simulation requirements for OPFOR LAND forces and maneuvers.
