Ship ClassificationShip Classification is the backbone of the Maritime Business, consisting of 6 units: Approval, Technical Support, Class Development, Quality, HSE and Class Services, and Regulatory Affairs. We provide governance, support, and development of our global work processes, including Newbuilding, Certification of Machinery and Components, and Fleet in Service.
Technical Support in Ship ClassificationWe offer global support and governance to all DNV's regions in their daily operation and survey of vessels. Our units are strategically located in Asia, Europe, and America, allowing us to provide 24/7 service to our customers via remote surveys and DATE service.
What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a skillful, curious, and agile graduate to join our Register and Data Management section located in Høvik. The successful candidate will have a relevant university degree in a topic related to the work of DNV Maritime, such as Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ship Technology, or Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to impactful projects right away, aligning our strategy and goals with your individual skills and interests.
- Join a group of employees with a diverse skillset assisting DNV experts in our digital transformation.
- Be a team member in small to medium-sized cross-discipline projects using digital skills to improve efficiency and effectiveness of tasks and work processes.
- Handle technical support cases related to technical topics or work processes and apply learning from this to make proposals for improvements.
- Work within existing teams and organizational structures to deliver business outcomes and change.
- Contribute to the development of DNV's next 5-year strategy period by reflecting on your experience and identifying focus areas that will enable our digital transformation to become even more successful.
- Knowledge of or qualifications in engineering topics related to ships, robotic process control, large language models, machine learning, artificial Intelligence, data management and data governance, information architecture and databases, digital customer success, or PowerBI.
- Knowledge of shipping industry and ship technology.
- Knowledge of ship operations or seagoing experience on ships.
- Understanding of technical drawings and documentation about ships.
