Senior Planner, subsea projects

Location: Oslo

Start date: April / May 2025

Duration: 12 month contract initial with extension

Rate: Negotiable

This is a senior role, where the client seek someone who has a really strong background and can come into the company, take charge of a project and pull things in the right direction.

For the Norwegian arm of a global EPCI client I seek to secure a Senior Project Planner with urgency, for project based work throughout 2025 and beyond. The client, a subsea installation contractor have offices in several Norwegian locations, but would hope for a successful candidate being based in Oslo.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project/tender plan, ensure identification of long lead /critical items
  • Coordination with the various operations and support units, to ensure timely and accurate cost data is available for preparation of cost reports
  • Perform project progress monitoring, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts, with progress achieved to date
  • Ensure subcontractors provide schedules with sufficient details
  • Support the use/integration of project and contract management systems
  • Work closely with the internal Document System (DS) and Document Control team
  • Receive and analyse Daily Progress Reports during offshore execution

What are they looking for?

  • College or University degree level in a relevant field
  • Min. 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project / Safran Project
  • High working capacity with good workload management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Structured and methodical with an eye for details
  • Willingness to learn and develop/Proactive
  • Good organization skills
  • Results oriented with the ability to act decisively
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
