Information about the job:

  • Job Title: Assistant Driller L1, L2.
  • Project: Various Offshore Drilling Projects.
  • Location: Worldwide.
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable).
  • Rotation: 28/28 (working/on leave).
  • Salary: EUR depending on previous experience. Consolidated monthly.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Insurance: Provided by the company.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Prior experience in drilling operations or a related rig-based position.
  • Solid understanding of drilling tools, mud systems, and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret instructions from the Driller and act promptly under pressure.
  • Physically capable of working long shifts in challenging outdoor conditions.
  • Proven record of teamwork and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with rig equipment maintenance.
  • English proficiency.

Tasks:

  • Operate and oversee rig floor equipment under the direction of the Driller.
  • Monitor drilling progress, mud systems, and pump operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist in connecting and disconnecting drill pipes, casing, and other downhole tools.
  • Conduct visual checks and basic maintenance on drilling machinery and safety systems.
  • Record and report operational data such as pressures, depths, and equipment status.
  • Support the Driller in managing crew activities during drilling and tripping operations.
  • Participate in safety drills, inspections, and pre-job planning meetings.
  • Ensure housekeeping and equipment organization on the drill floor and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate clearly with the Driller, Derrickman, and other team members about ongoing tasks.
