About Harbour Energy
Since its creation in 2014, Harbour has grown to become one of the world's largest and most geographically diverse independent oil and gas companies. As part of its growth journey the company successfully completed the acquisition of Wintershall Dea's upstream assets in September 2024.
Today, Harbour is producing between 475,000 and 485,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day with significant production in Norway, the UK, Germany, Argentina and North Africa.
With low GHG emissions intensity and a leading CO2 storage position in Europe, Harbour remains committed to producing oil and gas safely and responsibly to help meet the world's energy needs. Harbour is a global company with approximately 5,000 staff and contractors across its operations and offices.
Our office in Norway is based in Stavanger with around 350 employees.

Purpose of the role:
Summer Job in Norway – Information Technology (Application & system support)
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
- Assist with application management and user support
- Perform data updates and quality checks in business systems
- Support minor IT initiatives and improvement projects
- Assist in testing, documentation, and implementation of system changes or upgrades
- Contribute to process improvement and automation activities
- Maintain and update internal IT documentation and user guides
- Provide basic M365 and collaboration tools user assistance
- Collaborate with Information Systems teams to ensure efficient IT operation
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
- The summer student should be in their final year of a bachelor's or master's degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of system administration and application lifecycle processes.
- Digital Skills: Experience with, or ability to learn, tools such as M365, including SharePoint/Teams and Copilot and other collaboration or business systems.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail when working with data and systems.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal English for reporting, documentation, and user interaction.
- Proactive, structured, self-motivated, and solution-oriented.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
