Application Engineering Intern

The Application Engineering Intern will be part of an international team that designs Sony Semiconductor Solutions' Image Sensors, with a speciality in innovative automotive products. We strive to maintain our global lead in imaging and become the worldwide leader in the field of sensing applications through integrated development, design and production of CMOS image sensors.
In this internship, you will develop automation tools in Python to test hardware and firmware. You will also manage and collect data throughout testing. This position involves testing software systems that control hardware for measurement in camera applications, ensuring the reliability and robustness of these systems.
You Will:
Develop and implement automation tools for testing hardware (HW) and firmware (FW) using Python.
- Handle and collect data efficiently during testing processes.
- Ensure that the testing processes are robust and reliable.
- Work with a multi-cultural and international team.
- Analyse and interpret data collected from tests to provide insights and improvements.
You Are:
- Enrolled in an MSc or equivalent in Electronics/Physics/Automation degree course
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Familiar with microelectronics, preferably, but candidates with a strong technical background in related fields are welcome.
- Experienced with software tool development
- Enthusiastic about technology and its applications.
- Dedicated and proactive in problem-solving and project execution.
- Able to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural team.
- Fluent in English
