People Operations Manager
Why this role matters
At Aidn, we're building the next-generation patient journal, one that makes collaboration between patients, healthcare professionals, and next of kin feel effortless. But great technology is only half of the story. The other half is our people.
Behind every product launch, support request, or breakthrough feature is a team of people who care deeply about what they do. Keeping that energy, motivation, and sense of purpose alive as we scale is one of the most important things we can do — and that's where you come in.
As
People Operations Manager
, you'll help us build and maintain a great place to work. You'll lead and coach our People Ops Specialists, support managers in solving real people challenges, and make sure our employee experience is both human and consistent. You'll also be the steady hand ensuring that we know what we can do, so we can decide what is wise to do.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants to make Aidn an even better place to work — for the people shaping the future of Norwegian healthcare.
What You'll Be Working On
Over the next year, you'll focus on making Aidn's People function run smoothly, scaling our culture and improving how we work every day. Some examples of what you'll take on:
- Lead and develop the People Ops Specialists, setting priorities and building their competence.
- Be a trusted partner for managers across Aidn — helping them find practical, people-first solutions to their challenges.
- Improve how we deliver onboarding, offboarding, and everyday People processes.
- Ensure fairness, transparency, and good judgment in all employment decisions.
- Partner with the Chief People Officer to use data and insights to guide priorities and improvements.
- Oversee recruitment delivery and make sure we hire people who share our mission and values.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who's curious, calm under pressure, and able to connect the dots between people, processes, and business needs. You're experienced enough to lead with confidence, but still hands-on and grounded.
You probably have:
- Min 5–7+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience coaching and supporting managers with everyday people topics.
- A pragmatic, people-first mindset and a drive to improve how things work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make complexity simple.
It's a plus if you've worked in fast-growing companies or tech/startup environments, or if you enjoy creating structure where there isn't much yet.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months:
- You've started building trust with the People Ops team and key managers.
- You understand most Aidn's People processes, current challenges, and can start to identify where improvement is most needed.
- You've set clear priorities for your team and established a rhythm for communication and delivery.
In 6 months:
- The People Ops team delivers reliably and with consistency — recruitment, onboarding, and core People processes run smoothly.
- Managers describe you as a helpful, pragmatic sparring partner who makes it easier to handle people-related issues well.
- You've identified and started addressing key gaps in structure, documentation, and process maturity.
In 12 months:
- Aidn's People operations are predictable, compliant, and clearly support a positive employee experience.
- The People Ops team has grown in capability and confidence under your leadership.
- People managers routinely seek your advice before issues escalate — and you help them find good, balanced solutions.
- The Chief People Officer can focus on strategic priorities because operational delivery and decision-making are handled effectively within your scope.
Why you'll love working here
High trust, real ownership
You'll have freedom to shape how we work, test new ideas, and make decisions that matter.
Visible impact
You'll build systems and habits that affect everyone at Aidn — from how we recruit to how we grow and retain great people.
Growth that means something
You'll help create the next phase of a People function that's maturing fast, supported by peers who care deeply about doing meaningful work.
Perks and benefits
- 6 weeks vacation
- Flexible working hours & location
- Employee shares — own a piece of what you help build
- Pension, insurances and full pay during parental leave
- A collaborative, ambitious, and caring team
