DEMAND PLANNER
As a
Demand Planner
at Helly Hansen, you will be part of the Demand Planning Team within the broader Planning team. This function connects customer demand with supply decisions, enabling the business to operate with greater agility and alignment across Commercial, Product, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, driving cross-functional consensus, and ensuring that category- and channel-specific strategies are reflected in the plan. You'll play a key role in balancing customer demand with supply capabilities - supporting decisions that maximize sales, minimize excess inventory, and enhance overall profitability.

Working closely with Merchandising, Sales, and Supply teams, you will translate market insights and business trends into data-driven forecasts. By leveraging analytical tools and forecasting methodologies, you'll help ensure demand plans are both accurate and strategically aligned - driving improved service levels and operational efficiency across Helly Hansen's global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly demand forecasts at style/color/size level by analyzing historical sales, market trends, promotional plans using statistical models and business judgement to generate a robust baseline forecast.
  • Segment products and portfolios based on different attributes to tailor forecasting strategies and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Facilitate cross-functional consensus with sales, finance, and supply planning teams to enrich forecasts with business intelligence, promotional inputs and channel insights.
  • Monitor and report demand KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, demand variability, and forecast value add to drive continuous improvement in forecasting performance.
  • Identify and communicate demand risks and opportunities proactively to inform supply, inventory, and financial planning decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Continuously enhance forecasting processes/tools by leveraging analytics, automation, and feedback loops to improve forecast quality, responsiveness, and decision-making.

Location: This position is a full-time employment at our Oslo Headquarters

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related analytical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning and forecasting within the retail, apparel, FMCG, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and solid understanding of forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience with Anaplan, Logility, or Business Objects is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
