Project Pursuit Manager

Are you ready to elevate your career with Emerson? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic European Project Pursuit Manager to join our team
In this pivotal role, you will increase the profitability and growth of Emerson’s Measurement Solutions in the European mega-project market You will secure the most strategic project sales pursuits in key industry segments like Chemical, Refining, Hydrogen, Metal, Mining, and other emerging Sustainability areas. Your leadership will be crucial in driving team collaboration, delivering value to critical customers at all levels, and ensuring Emerson’s competitive edge. You will also coach and develop the European project sales teams to ensure ownership, upskilling, and accurate pursuit leadership.
This role is open to applications at any Emerson location in Europe, close to a major international airport.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Identify and Qualify Mega-Project Opportunities: Target strategic projects in the (pre)FEED phases and Maintain a clear -year mega-project horizon funnel; Strategy Development: Understand project dynamics, develop sales strategies, and form pursuit teams to secure premium wins; Lead and Collaborate: Drive the sales strategy, guide sales, and support resources through a structured pursuit sales process over multiple years; Build Relationships: Establish connections with key customers, FEED/EPC contractors, and major partners; Value Creation: Position Measurement Solutions differentiated value propositions tailored to the customer’s needs, introduce new product offerings, and negotiate effectively; Executive Engagement: Work with executive management to leverage opportunities and improve competitive advantages; Mentor and Develop: Coach project sales teams, provide upskilling, and ensure effective pursuit leadership and pricing guidance; Industry Knowledge: Develop and share industry-specific value messages and guide the sales team on a consultative sales approach. Lead by example of a top-tier project sales professional globally.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Extensive sales experience in the process automation industry; Knowledge of consultative and professional selling techniques; Proven leading-by-influence and collaboration skills; Understanding of CAPEX Project and EPC’s working methods; Strong expertise in Automation and Instrumentation techniques; Proven ability to build relationships with new clients at all levels of the customer’s organization; Outstanding negotiation skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills, in English; Willingness to travel (% - % of time);Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Knowledge of the production process in the aforementioned industries; Good understanding of contracting and execution strategies; Experience dealing with uncertainty and complexity; Knowledge of other European languages.Our Offer to You
