Job Description

The Project Control Manager is an integral role in project teams during all phases of project development and delivery. The purpose of the role of Project Control Manager is to ensure that projects under development and construction receive the required support in areas of cost planning and control, time scheduling and project programming, risk identification and management, and reporting to Statkraft standards.

In the role of Project Control Manager - Hydro , we are seeking a competent, self-driven and committed individual to prepare, update, control, and report project progress to the Project Manager. This includes schedule, costs, scope, changes, and risks.

As Project Control Manager - Hydro you will be reporting to the Project Director in India and the following tasks would be a part of your job profile:

Implement Project Controls Requirements and Standards. Establish detailed plans and budget for the project (Project Master Schedule and Baseline). Maintain and track project milestone dates (according to contracts). Maintain and present the Current Schedule and Current Cost as well as forecast, analysis and scenarios for these. Initiate process for re-baselining if required and facilitate Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) according to requirements. Co-ordinate Project Controls (Schedule & Cost) and risk according to Statkraft requirements and current best practices. Prepare Monthly Progress and Cost Report according to requirements. Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Project Controls Employees' activities. Develop and update risk register regularly and follow up on mitigation actions. Maintain and compile risk register into monthly reporting. Develop and maintain project manpower curve. Follow-up all claims, and change order requests connected to the Contract or Purchase Orders and ensure correct handling in project as well as in financial accounts. Facilitate efficient and regular progress meetings with contractors, including interface with planning function. Support other units in Statkraft as required with Project Controls competence. Support Project Management with Project Controls and Risk deliveries to fulfil Statkraft’s Capital Project Model requirements. Ensure communication, co-operation and co-ordination between the different staff members and the Project and with other parties with interface to the project. Interface and close cooperation with Financial Manager in order to assist to ensure compliance with relevant requirements in Statkraft's Internal Control System over Financial Reporting. Interface and close cooperation with Contract Manager in order to assist to ensure correct handling of claims, change order requests and new unit price calculations. Actively contribute to the implementation of HSE requirements and ensure HSE compliance. Monitor fraud and corruption risks. Support the implementation of anti-corruption prevention.

Qualifications

We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:

University degree in engineering, or similar with documented experience in the field of project controlling, cost controlling, project management or similar. Minimum 8-10 years of project controls experience from development and construction of large construction projects - preferably Hydropower. Working knowledge from different business models and contracting set-ups. Independent self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage large workloads, prioritizing tasks and effectively managing competing deadlines. Proactive and solution-oriented, yet with attention to details. Team player and self-motivated to take responsibility for independent work. Good knowledge of relevant IT-systems such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, MS Project/Project Online and SAP is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
