Key Responsibilities:- Project Development: Lead the end-to-end development of wind and solar energy projects from site identification through to construction and commissioning.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct and oversee technical feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource analysis to determine project viability.
- Permitting and Compliance: Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and securing all necessary approvals.
- Technical Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed project designs, including site layouts, equipment selection, and grid connection solutions.
- Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop project budgets, perform financial analysis, and work closely with finance teams to secure project funding.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with landowners, local communities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and secure project support.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Identify and manage relationships with key vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, permits, and compliance records.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, prepare status reports, and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy project development.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on wind and solar energy.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of wind and solar energy technologies, project design, and grid integration.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects.
- Project Management Skills: Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in project financial modeling, budgeting, and securing project financing.
