Job Purpose

To meet new challenges and opportunities, we are seeking an efficient and structured Project Controller to join our Finance Department in Subsea Services at Ågotnes, Bergen.

As a Project Controller with us, you will be responsible, from quote to final accounts, for dedicated projects - based on frame agreements with our customer.

You will participate in project meetings and make decisions within the financial scope, together with Project Manager.

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Invoicing according to Contract
  • Responsible for internal budgeting on projects, in accordance with internal procedures
  • Responsible for external budgeting/quotations, based on Frame Agreements
  • Create, maintain and close cost receiving accounts (network/WBS elements)
  • Prepare/review VORs (variation order requests) and CEUs (cost estimate updates), and follow up and report deviations from the budget
  • Tasks related to month-end-closing, such as ensuring correct gross margin, following up payments from customers, and reporting financial status - internally and externally
  • Participate in department meetings and project meetings
You are meant for this job if you have:
  • A Bachelor degree within Finance, or other relevant field
  • Experience from project controlling, with an understanding of cost control processes in projects
  • A high customer focus, are productive, with the drive to accomplish results
  • Accuracy, and good attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with identifying deviations from standards
  • The ability to recognize the impact of non-compliance with internal controls and accounting principles
  • High structure in your workday, meanwhile keeping a close dialog with your team
  • Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and SAP (ERP system)
