As a Technical Support representative, you will be part of our Customer Support Center and assist our customers and partners with technical and non-technical inquiries and administrative questions. Your role will involve answering phone calls, responding to emails, and logging all cases into our CRM system. On a daily basis, you will help customers with technical issues related to their existing payment solutions and assist them in installing new ones. You will also handle requests for changes in terminal data, transaction data, and settlements, as well as perform software updates, contract details, invoice questions, account number changes, address updates, and more.
A good understanding of different network types such as mobile networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LAN will be beneficial for the more technical tasks.
This job is ideal for those who enjoy problem-solving, delivering excellent customer service, and engaging with customers. You will receive thorough training in our systems and products to prepare you for this role, but having a technical interest is considered a plus. If you are tech-savvy and eager to stay updated on the latest technology trends, this is the perfect job for you The payment industry is constantly evolving, meaning you will continuously learn about new payment terminal models, transaction types, and other innovations we bring to market.
As part of our team, collaboration skills are essential, but you will also take individual responsibility for the cases you handle and must be able to work independently. You will primarily use Norwegian in your daily work, but some customers communicate in English, and Verifone's official corporate language is English. Therefore, strong written and spoken English skills are required.
Our office is located in Oslo, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.
You will also be part of an on-call rotation that may include weekend shifts, the hours of work when working shifts could be:
- 08.00am - 16.00pm
- 10.00am - 18.00pm
- 12.00pm - 20.00pm
Skills and Experience we desire
- Fluency in both spoken and written Norwegian and English.
- Some experience or background in technical support is an advantage.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Any prior experience in a support function is a plus—you consider yourself a problem solver.
- Experience in high-customer-volume industries or international organizations with multiple IT platforms is beneficial. This could include telecom, banking, IT, or the payments industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and willingness to help where needed.
- A social and positive approach to work, with a sense of responsibility.
- Basic knowledge of the MS Office suite.
