The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic track record and a background in either the E&P or oilfield service industry. As a key member of our Supply Chain division, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our rigs and well research for Europe and Africa, as well as contributing to global analysis with a focus on offshore drilling rigs and oilfield services.

As a Rigs and Wells Market Research Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining our database on rigs and well services markets in Europe and Africa
  • Conducting market sizing and forecasting analysis for oil and gas categories, along with supply and pricing drivers
  • Gathering, processing, analyzing, and synthesizing information from multiple sources to provide actionable insights
  • Tracking capacity, supply, and demand from operators and suppliers
  • Contributing to and writing client commentaries and reports
  • Participating in external and internal presentations to communicate our research and analysis
  • Engaging with clients to demonstrate our research and build primary research relationships

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas supply chain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on attitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in an oilfield service company or O&G operator, with a strong academic track record in a relevant field
  • Self-motivation, proactivity, and independence, as well as a strong team player mentality

As a Rigs and Wells Market Research Specialist at Rystad Energy, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse, dynamic, and international team of highly skilled professionals. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, as well as opportunities for development and relocation internationally.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
